Pink is is so often a colour that we associate with being gay, when it is worn by a man. When you see a pink shirt being worn by a man what comes to mind? That he’s gay? You may not realise this but pink can look really good on some men. So the question for you is, if you are a man, would you wear pink?
Pink can be classy, subtle and fashionable. The color can also be peculiar and brassy. For example, the pastel pinks can look really good in a semi-formal setting or when you would like to look smart-casual. You have to be very careful of the brighter pinks because they will look ‘shocking’ and shoddy - they either remind one of the disco time of the 80s or the punk rock era of the 70s.
Pink is an appealing colour in many respects. It looks predominantly cool on people with brown or black hair. Pink also matches well with many colours, particularly salmon, some orange shades, the browns and black (but be sensible here). Pink also looks especially nice alongside white, for example a pink tie on a white shirt.
Pink shirts can be work in almost all occasions: at work, down the pub, Saturdays and Sundays, in the supermarket.
This isn’t an excuse to break dress-code however so always be sensitive to the occasion. Never put yourself at a social disadvantage. For example business meetings usually require for a conservative look such as a white shirt and a low key well-pressed suit.
Pink can look very good on a man.
